DJM-2000 - Professional DJ Mixer

The intuitive layout makes performance a breeze and facilitates original arrangement to music.

The interface has been placed in the center of the mixer to enable an individual, intuitive performance. A DJ can add arrangements to the music with a variety of controls, such as Tap, Warp and Trace on the three Effect sections. And the three Effect sections can be used in combination, giving the DJ all the more scope for original arrangements.

Industry-First* Three New Performance Modes using the 5.8 inch Full-Color, Multi-touch Display

We've adopted an industry first 5.8 inch large LCD multi-touch panel display. So the DJ can see and hear the result of effects, while easily and intuitively operating the mixer like none before, and we've added 3 kinds of performance modes. The FREQUENCY MIX, enabling a more precise music mix, the SIDECHAIN REMIX, with its seven kinds of dynamic effects, and the four types of MIDI mode that allow the DJ to use a computer-all making every DJing scene and DJ playing style possible.

Evolved BEAT EFFECTS manipulate every frequency and alter sound to the beat with the automatic beat matching function ¡°QUANTIZE¡± *1

Equipped with an evolved BEAT EFFECT, a highly acclaimed function of the DJM series. EFFECT FREQUENCY allows the DJ to control the level of effects to add to each frequency band, so an echo can be added just to the vocals, or the hi-hat rhythm can be doubled, providing flexibility to perform like never before. Physical buttons have also been added for selecting effects and beats, making it possible to jump between different measures instantly.
The firmware update to ver2.0 will improves the accuracy of the BEAT EFFECT and its various effects, that will enable dynamic song arrangement

<UPDATE FEATURE> ¡áImproved BEAT EFFECT accuracy with the addition of the QUANTIZE function The Quantize function has been added which automatically corrects BEAT EFFECT to play on-beat using the beat position information as analyzed in rekordbox¢â music management software. Even if you miss the input timing for an effect while you are DJing, the effect will be adjusted automatically to the analyzed beat position, allowing you to apply effects on-beat with 100% accuracy. ¡áUpdated REVERB function for dynamic song arrangement In addition to the length of the reverb effect, you can now adjust the openness of the simulated space at the same time. This increases the strength of the effect and allows you to dynamically arrange songs as you mix them during your DJ performance. ¡áUpdated FILTER function for quick effect performance Pioneer changed the FILTER BEAT EFFECT so that when you turn the level knob for the effect all the way to the left, the FILTER function turns OFF and only the source audio is output. This allows you to turn the FILTER effect ON and OFF smoothly for quick and easy effect performance.

INST FX allows effects to be applied intuitively, with just the turn of a knob

Six effects(NOISE, HPF, LPF, JET, ZIP & CRUSH) on every channel with rotary control for an intuitive performance. The PARAMETER knob allows for fine tuning of each effect. Pioneer broadened the adjustment range for the NOISE to increase the maximum output volume for this effect. This allows you to add sufficient NOISE even to songs that are input at a high volume.Maximum volume of ¡°OSCILLATOR¡± and ¡°SAMPLE¡± in SIDECHAIN REMIX*2 have been increased as well.

  • *1£ºOnly for songs analyzed by rekordbox¢â. QUANTIZE available with PRO DJ LINK compatible Pioneer DJ player (CDJ-2000 and CDJ-900 with the firmware ver. 4.00 or higher installed) connected to DJM-2000 via LAN cable
  • *2£ºSIDE CHAIN REMIX is an effect created using the multi-touch panel, with the selected channel sound input as a trigger.

Equipped with PRO DJ LINK, the function that makes linked multi-DJ play a reality

1. Sharing an SD Card*1/ USB Storage Devices
The music files and control data saved on an SD card or USB storage device can be shared and played on up to four CDJ-2000 or CDJ-900 players via this mixer.

2. rekordbox¢â LINK
The music files and control data inside rekordbox¢â can be called out and played on CDJ-2000 or CDJ-900 players via this mixer.

3. LIVE SAMPLER
Sound input from a MIC or sound output from the MASTER can be recorded to this mixer and played on a CDJ-2000 or CDJ-900. Voice recorded from the MIC can be immediately used in scratching or for other new performances.

4. LINK MONITOR
The music files in rekordbox¢â can be monitored on headphones. This allows the DJ to check the song before playing it on a player, thus smoothing out the process of selecting a song and playing it.

5. STATUS INFORMATION
The status of each connected channel is sent to the CDJ-2000 or CDJ-900. Live on-air*2deck feedback shows the channel in play allowing the status to be checked at a glance and making for a worry-free performance.

Pioneer DJ players (CDJ-2000 & CDJ-900) that are compatible with PRO DJ LINK and a computer with rekordbox¢â installed can be connected to the mixer via a LAN cable, allowing to use PRO DJ LINK features.

Internal USB Audio Interface

The mixer is equipped with a USB Audio Interface, which allows the audio signal of music playing on a computer to be input to the DJM-2000 via a USB connection with the computer*1. This makes it possible to use a computer, even without an external sound card, for DJ play. From one computer up to a maximum of four sources of audio signal can be assigned to each channel and mixed. It is also possible to choose to output the audio out of the master channel to the computer. This makes it extremely convenient to record the mixed audio*2.

  • ¡Ø1£ºCompatible with Windows or Mac.When using Windows, three sources or more can be assigned only when using ASIO compliant software.
  • ¡Ø2£ºPackaged on the device driver CD-ROM. The USB audio interface function can be used after this software is installed on the computer.

High Quality Sound Design achieves ideal club sound

An ideal club sound has been painstaking created. 120dB high Signal to Noise Ratio A/D converter is used, and for the amp that relays and sends audio signals, we employed an ultralow noise, balanced hybrid op-amp with the FET up front like the CDJ-2000. By doing so, we greatly decreased the noise across the entire audio range as well as eliminating intermodulation due to noise outside the audible range, resulting in fully transparent mid/ high ranges. And by sending the signal through the entire balance circuit, from the 32-bit D/A converter to the XLR OUT terminals, we greatly reduced the effects of power source fluctuations and noise components, and achieved a dynamic range of 107dB with low distortion at 0.004% or less (1kHz), providing a clear, powerful sound.
